Therefore, the health and safety of our guests and staff is our top priority, and we aim for a zero serious harm injury rate. The Dark Hedges Experience coordinate with a site wide Health and Safety Committee to ensure initiatives are undertaken to reduce and eliminate any harm.
There is also a significant investment in training of our Storyguides through our ‘Spirit of Hosting’ programme to ensure guests do not venture into potentially unsafe zones and are informed of potential hazards on the Dark Hedges Estate and off the site ground.
We do encourage all guests to wear suitable footwear and have invested extensively in pathways to safely guide visitors through the Dark Hedges Estate. If parking within the Dark Hedges Estate, please ensure that you watch out for other moving vehicles and pedestrians. In wet weather, surfaces including footpaths, decks and stairs can become slippery, we ask all guests to be careful around these surfaces. The Dark Hedges Hotel
The Hedges Hotel is situated close to the iconic Dark Hedges in Ballymoney, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This is a new and modern hotel with spacious modern bedrooms and bathrooms. The Dark Hedges have been used in scenes for the internationally acclaimed TV series "The Game of Thrones" and many visitors to the location visit The Hedges Hotel and Restaurant.
Set within the 300 Acres of the Dark Hedges Estate lays an 18-hole Parkland Golf Course which is surrounded by spectacular ponds and woodland throughout. The golf course founded in 1995 and was designed by the talented Frank Ainsworth into a 72 Par American Style course with challenging obstacles such as water hazards and huge trees. Some of the greens are strategically placed near water hazards while other holes are played through mature woodland or over heathland, making Gracehill Golf Course one of the few courses in Ireland to offer such variety. The modern clubhouse provides a warm and friendly atmosphere, scenic views of the course and a first class bar and restaurant.
